Professional Experience

David Cohen is a Managing Director on the Investment Team at Everview.

Prior to joining Everview, Mr. Cohen was a Managing Director at Brookfield Asset Management, where
he oversaw Alternative Real Estate group, which included self-storage, manufactured housing, and
senior housing, among others.

While at Brookfield, Mr. Cohen spearheaded the firms’ entrance into the self-storage sector in 2015
with the acquisition of Simply Self Storage, which was a top 10 owner/operator in the U.S., and in 2020
with an acquisition of a self- storage platform in Asia. 

David also oversaw the firm’s investments in manufactured housing, including one of the largest
privately held portfolios in the United States (over $5B) in 2022, and its first U.S. investments in senior
housing in 2021. During his time at Brookfield, Mr. Cohen also served in a Head of Research role and
participated on the Brookfield Asset Management AI Value Creation Committee.

Prior to Brookfield, Mr. Cohen was a Portfolio Analyst for a $10 billion U.S. real estate securities fund for
APG, one of the largest pension funds in the world and was as a sell-side real estate securities analyst at
Morgan Stanley.  Previously, he was a Management Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where Mr.
Cohen led business-process improvements and organizational effectiveness initiatives for Fortune 500
companies.

Relevant Prior Board Roles

Mr. Cohen previously served as Board Chair of Simply Self Storage, one of the largest privately held self-
storage companies in the United States, now a division of Public Storage (NYSE: PSA), and as a member
of the board of directors of RedBox, a self-storage platform in the Asia-Pacific region, and was board
chair of its joint venture investments in manufactured housing and senior housing.
